The present is embodied in Hexagram 34 - Ta Chuang (The Power of the Great): It will be advantageous to be firm and correct.
The first line, undivided, shows its subject manifesting his strength in his toes, but advance will lead to evil - most certainly.
The second line, undivided, shows that with firm correctness there will be good fortune.
The fourth line, undivided, shows a case in which firm correctness leads to good fortune, and occasion for repentance disappears. We see the fence opened without the horns being entangled. The strength is like that in the wheel - spokes of a large waggon.
The situation is shifting, and Yin (the passive feminine force) is gaining ground.

The future is embodied in Hexagram 15 - Ch'ien (Modesty): There is progress and success. The superior man, being humble, will have a good issue to his undertakings.
The things most apparent, those above and in front, are embodied by the upper trigram Chen (Thunder), which is transforming into K'un (Earth). As part of this process, movement, initiative, and action are giving way to docility and receptivity.
The things least apparent, those below and behind, are embodied by the lower trigram Chi'en (Heaven), which is transforming into Ken (Mountain). As part of this process, strength and creativity are giving way to stillness and obstruction.
